Blood test reports - Before and after starting Keto diet
Note: My plan is it to do the tests every six months. I will keep adding to this table.
My Interpretations:
- Fasting glucose has come down which I believe is good.
- Triglycerides have come down from around 150 to under 70 as soon as I started the diet.
- HDL is increasing but is very resistant and slow. I need to add more fat maybe.
- LDL has been increasing a little but I am not bothered at all :-)
- HSCRP has drastically(and danegerously) increased in Jan 2017 and July 2017. I am not sure how to interpret this. Antibodies had something serious to fight with? However it has come down in the last two reports to safe levels :-)
- HbA1C is in a healthy range
- Ketones are now measured(D3HB) from July 2017. I removed breakfast in Jan 2017 and Lunch in July 2017. Still the ketones were in the lower border in Jan 2018. I suspect the curd which I have been taking after the meal. In Jan 2018 I replaced the curd with 50 to 70 grams of butter everyday. Removal of curd probably brought me to optimal ketosis range in July 2018. For some unknown reasons it was in Jan 2019. But came back to 47.52 mg/dL in July 2019
- From July 2019 I have started measuring fasting insulin as well. It shows less than 1 μU/ml, which is encouraging. It means that insulin is very low and cannot cause any damages.
- Had lots of carbs in December 2019 which probably had an effect on Insulin and Ketones :)
- March 2021: My weight has increased by 4 kg though I have not changed anything. My guess is that my metabolism has slowed down. :) Not doing exercises is probably not helping :D Could not get insulin tested this time. Triglycerides is a bit high. MAy be because of a bit of carbloading for 10 days.
